I love it when a mistake turns into an unexpected success, and that’s exactly how The Sonya came to be! When designing a bag, proportions are everything, and sometimes it takes a few tries to get them just right. I was originally tasked with creating a bucket bag for a client, but I completely missed the mark. As the "mistake" sat in my studio, I kept coming back to it until it finally hit me—trimming off the top three inches would transform it into something special. That simple adjustment created the perfect bag with a fresh, unique silhouette. By adding a removable crossbody strap, it became a versatile hybrid—top handle for a quick grab-and-go, or crossbody for hands-free convenience!
